Chemotherapy affects everyone differently. However, there are certain factors that can put you at higher risk of CINV CINV – chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting.
They include:
- Being a woman
- Being younger than age 50
- A history of nausea and vomiting (during or after past
cancer treatments) - The type and amount of chemotherapy (certain chemotherapies or combinations are more likely to cause nausea and vomiting than others)
- A history of motion sickness, morning sickness, or both
If one or more of these factors applies to you, talk to your doctor or nurse today.
