What Are Your Risks?

Many people experience CINV.

As many as 8 in 10 people will have at least some nausea and vomiting
after chemotherapy.

Certain risk factors increase your chance of having nausea and vomiting:

  • Type of chemotherapy
  • Amount of chemotherapy
  • Personal factors

Am I at risk?

Check each statement below that applies to you.

  • I am a woman.
  • I am younger than age 50.
  • I have had nausea or vomiting during or after previous chemotherapy.
  • I have had motion sickness or morning sickness in the past.
  • I am getting chemotherapy that is highly or moderately likely to cause       vomiting. (Check with your care team if you are not sure.)
